Employer resource assessments
As at 1 October 2016, all employer resource assessments for apprenticeship qualifications in the Electrotechnology training package (UEE) must be conducted using the template ATF-013(ELEC) Employer Resource Assessment - Electrical industry apprentices (UEE and UET qualifications only). Note: qualifications in the Transmission, Distribution and Rail Sector Training package (UET) do not need to use this template from 1 October 2016, but must use it for training contracts with a commencement date on or after 1 February 2017.
All other apprenticeship and traineeship qualifications for training contracts with a commencement date on or after 1 February 2017 must use the relevant employer resource assessment templates as published by the department:
- ATF-013(APP): ERA - Apprentice/s (generic)
- ATF-013(TEE): ERA - Trainee/s (generic)
- ATF-013(COMMS): ERA - Community Services (specified)
- ATF-013(ECEC): ERA - Early Childhood Education and Care
- ATF-013(PLUMB): ERA - Plumbing apprentices (CPC32413)
- ATF-013(GLAZING): ERA - Automotive Glazing Technician (specified)
- ATF-013(POLY): ERA - Certificate IV in Polymer Technician apprenticeship (current until 31 March 2018)
- ATF-013(SPA): ERA - Swimming pool and spa
Alternatively, the department will accept employer resource assessments which have been developed by a supervising registered training organisation to meet their individual needs, provided they contain all the information included in the templates developed for use by the department.
There is no requirement to substitute existing employer resource assessments with the revised templates, however regular monitoring must be occurring as per the Employer resource sssessment information sheet.

As at 1 July 2014, all training plans in Queensland must be in the approved form. The approved form is the Apprenticeship/Traineeship training plan template (which is a national training plan template) as published by the department. Alternatively, the department will accept training plans which have been developed by a supervising registered training organisation to meet their individual requirements provided the training plans contain all the information contained in the Apprenticeship/Traineeship training plan template.
