If you need to report a youth offender in Queensland, follow these steps:

  1. Contact the Police: If you witness a crime or suspect that a young person is involved, call the police immediately. Provide them with as much information as possible, such as the location, description of the offender, and details of the incident.
  2. Online Reporting: You can also report non-urgent incidents online through the Queensland Police Service website. This option is suitable for situations that do not require immediate attention.
  3. Crime Stoppers: To report anonymously, contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or visit their website. They accept information about criminal activity, including youth offenders.

Support services for victims

  • Victim Assist Queensland – provides information and advice for victims of crime, including support services, victims' rights and financial assistance.
  • Victim Connect – provides information about your rights and support options. Contact Victim Connect on 1300 318 940. This service is available to victims of violent (including sexual) crime only.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service – if you identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, you can seek advice from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service (Queensland). You can call 1800 012 255 for assistance or advice.
