The Queensland Government is working to ensure a skilled workforce is ready to support the exciting and growing hydrogen sector.

Queensland's Hydrogen Industry Workforce Development Roadmap 2022–32 is the first dedicated workforce development plan for the hydrogen industry and sets a path for industry and government to work together to deliver a strong and adaptable workforce for a safe and thriving Queensland hydrogen industry.

The roadmap is delivering 21 actions under 4 key focus areas:

  • Building a pipeline of skilled and adaptable workers for the hydrogen industry.
  • Sharing knowledge to support hydrogen skills, training and delivery.
  • Maximising the benefits for local communities.
  • Using data insights to plan for industry workforce needs over time.

The Queensland Government will continue to collaborate with key stakeholders across industry, education and training providers, unions and the broader community to deliver roadmap actions.
