Our finances

Each year we produce an annual report to summarise the department's financial and corporate performance. Prior to the department being established as a stand-alone department on 18 December 2023, the department's annual report data has been included in the reports of other government departments.

The department operates within a governance framework. This framework emphasises ethics, openness and public accountability.

Our policies

Our policies are administered under a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services and the Department of Youth Justice.

You can download documents from the publication scheme, or you can request to access them. Unless stated otherwise, all information in our publication scheme is available free of charge.

Where possible, information is directly linked and available for you to download. If you are having difficulties in accessing any of these documents, contact us so that we may assist you.

Complaints about the publication scheme

You have the right to complain if information identified in our publication scheme is not available.

Complaints will be managed in accordance with our complaints management policy and procedure (PDF, 920KB).

If you make a complaint, your personal information (including your email address) will be collected as required under sections 21(3) and 78, 78A and 78B of the Right to Information Act 2009.

Your personal information will be used for the purpose of investigating and addressing your complaint, and may be referred to relevant departmental business units or regions for resolution. Email messages may be monitored by the department’s information technology staff for system troubleshooting, maintenance and appropriate usage.
