The Community Work Skills program assists disadvantaged Queensland job seekers to gain nationally recognised skills and qualifications up to a certificate III level.

Projects are run in locations across the state by community-based not-for-profit organisations.

The Work Skills Traineeships program enables disadvantaged Queenslanders to be employed on community, construction or environmental projects while undertaking a traineeship.

Projects are run in locations across the state by local community-based not-for-profit organisations and local councils.

The Get Set for Work program provides disadvantaged young Queenslanders aged 15–19 years with nationally recognised training to enable them to successfully transition to employment and/or further education and training.

Projects are run in locations across the state by local community-based not-for-profit organisations.

The Ready for Work program assists job seekers to transition into the workplace by providing courses of up to 6–8 weeks on job assistance and training.

Projects are run in locations across the state by local community-based not-for-profit organisations and school Parent and Citizens' and Parents and Friends associations.

The Youth Skills program provides nationally recognised training and employment support for 15–24 year olds who are engaged with Youth Justice Services or Queensland Corrective Services.

The Community Foundation Skills program assists disadvantaged Queenslanders with low level language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) skills to gain the knowledge and confidence necessary to participate successfully in a modern knowledge economy.

The Skill Up program provides assistance to adults 25 years and older to upskill or reskill in entry level positions in high priority industries to maximise existing and future job opportunities.

First Start provides wage subsidies to local councils and community-based organisations (CBOs) to employ additional trainees. Contact local councils or CBOs near you to enquire about potential traineeship opportunities.
