The Diverse Queensland Workforce program (PDF, 127KB) will deliver $8.5 million in funding, until 30 June 2026, to assist migrants, refugees and international students into employment.
We are committed to an inclusive and diverse workforce, ensuring individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds are supported to participate in the economy. The economic benefits of migration will be maximised by enabling Queensland’s migrants to utilise their education, skills and previous work experience.
Eligible participants
The program targets work ready migrants or refugees (including temporary visa holders with necessary work permits), and international students aged 18 years and over who are unemployed or underemployed. School students are not eligible.
The selection of participants is at the discretion of the funded organisation and the program is delivered at no cost to participants.

The program can also connect employers with local migrants, refugees and international students looking for work. Contact a funded organisation (listed below) in your local area to find out more.
