Be work smart (PDF, 8MB) is a practical booklet to help young Queenslanders get and keep a job. The workbook uses real-life scenarios and self-testing quizzes to help young people identify and understand the skills and qualities that employers want.
If you are a student, you can work through the booklet by yourself or in class. Once you have completed the booklet you can get a signed certificate of completion to include in your resume.
Be work smart can also be used by school teachers, guidance counsellors, registered training organisations (RTOs) and employers to highlight the key elements a successful worker demonstrates, supported by scenarios. The booklet can be used electronically, or as a printed hardcopy.
The booklet has been extensively and successfully tested with schools, RTOs and employers.
