Organisations wishing to be recognised as a principal employer organisation (PEO) in Queensland need to submit an Application for recognition as a principal employer organisation form to the department.
When applying for recognition, applicants must address:
- Queensland requirements outlined in the Application for recognition as a principal employer organisation form
- Queensland Quality Standards for principal employer organisations, in accordance with Queensland audit arrangements for PEOs.
To demonstrate that Queensland Quality Standards have been met, applicants will need to engage an external auditor, at their own expense, to conduct a compliance audit.
When applying, applicants should also familiarise themselves with the 5 sections of the operational manual for PEOs in Queensland and understand the methods by which PEOs are monitored and evaluated in this state.
